Glog
My name is Kristen and I am a golf addict. (Hello, Kristen!) Even though I have only had this habit for about 10 months, the addiction is severe. I played my first round ever on August 20, 2004 at an executive course called Westlake in California (where I live), and since then I have golfed in five other states at some really great courses. I immediately joined a club so I could get an SCGA number and start establishing a handicap. I've never taken a "mulligan" because I think it's important to count every stroke and play from every poor angle and lie in order to learn from my mistakes. I post every score and my current index is at 28.8 (down from the high 30's-low 40's after I posted my first 20 rounds).
I am starting this golf blog (I call it a glog) in order to document my progress and share my experiences. There are a lot of glogs and plenty of information out there by male golfers, which is great. However, while golf is everyone's game and we all have similar struggles, I thought it would be nice to put a female perspective out there because we do have some different situations.
I will share scores, thoughts, ideas, lessons learned, course information, and much more - maybe even fashion opinions - as I proceed with this new passion of mine. At first, the format will be rudimentary, but I hope to make it more technilogically modern with photos and links and such in the very near future. Please stay tuned and check back soon!

Thanks Rich and mediaguru. Glad to be here. And thanks for the link, Rich!
Hi Kristen!
Welcome to blogging! There are precious few of us females in the golf blogworld. But the guys can't have all the fun.
I can relate with your line "why did I wait so long to take up golf?" I started playing at age 30, and feel like I missed out on way too many excellent golf years. Time to make up for lost time.
Looking forward to reading more from you! Keep it coming!

Hi Jennifer. What an honor - thanks for the welcome!
I'm 36 now and just getting started. To think of all that time I wasted not golfing. Oy!
Great "glog".
Good luck with your game and writing.
